The philosophy of Lamb of God Recovery Centers, Inc. is based upon the theory that addiction to alcohol and other substances is a three-fold disease: physical, spiritual, and psychological. We believe in the wisdom and utilization practices found in the 12-step programs of recovery that have proven to be effective for many hundreds of thousands of people and their families. We believe that the recovery process involves the recovery of the physical, spiritual, and psychological aspects of the affected persons' lives. We also realize that healing can be a very difficult and painful process - much the same as recovery from any other illness.

The mission of Lamb of God Recovery Centers, Inc. is to treat all three phases of the disease through the wisdom and healing precepts outlined in 12-step programs and the most current medical, psychological, holistic and spiritual approaches to recovery available by a team of licensed professionals.

Our locations in Pompano Beach and Okeechobee located among the South Florida, Southwest Florida, Treasure Coast and Central Florida communities, but serve clients from around the country. We provide solid recovery from a faith-based, non-religious approach utilizing Biblical principles, the 12 Steps, and cognitive-behavior therapy that has been proven effective.

Before treatment begins we assess physical, mental, emotional, spiritual and relational stability to determine how much support exist and what each client's needs are. Each individual's program is tailored to his specific needs, utilizing the latest proven methods of cognitive behavior therapy and 12-step work from a biblical perspective. The 12-step process is the pattern to develop coping strategies for a lifestyle free from substances abuse. In addition, the cognitive behavioral techniques are employed to correct non-productive thought and behavior patterns. Our relapse prevention strategy involves the discovery and articulation of relapse triggers and key behavioral signs of impending relapse as well as methods of avoiding those behaviors.

Lamb of God Recovery Centers offer several different programs. We have highly structured 4-week as well as longer-term six- to twelve-month programs for men with alcohol and substance abuse issues. Many clients have demonstrated problems in applying recovery skills, a lack of connection to the world of work, education or family life. Clinical services are combined with a supportive environment that include a focus on recovery skills, relapse-prevention, improving emotional functioning, promoting personal responsibility, anger management, and reintegration into the worlds of work, education and family life. One-on-one and family sessions are provided as well as group therapy.

Through these approaches we have become a well-know and proven leader in licensed faith-based recovery. Curriculum includes the following: AA Legacy, Genesis Process, Journey to Freedom, and GraceWalk

Our A.A. Legacy to the Faith Community: This curriculum is a Twelve-Step Guide for Those Who Want to Believe. Written by three sponsees of Clarence Snyder, known as the AA member with the most years of sobriety. Contributions from Dr. Bob, co-founder of Alcoholics Anonymous are also included.

Journey to Freedom: The Journey to Freedom utilizes spiritual principles based on the grace of God to help clients overcome the bondage of addictions and form a new sense of identity. Grace Walk: This curriculum was written by Dr. Steve McVey and helps us to learn to stop living by rules and to allow God's grace to rule us.

Lamb of God Recovery Centers, Inc has over 24 years experience helping men and families, whose lives have been disrupted by addictions, return to productive, rewarding and drug-free living. In doing so, we serve the community by reducing recidivism and drug-related crime, while at the same time aiding our clients to transition to a more fulfilling life among their family and their surroundings.
