The Community Residence programs provide a safe and structured residential treatment setting for adults. Community Residences serve individuals that are in need of continued support after completion of an inpatient rehabilitation program and require assistance in re-entering the community. Qualified staff is available on-site 24 hours a day. Treatment components include:

individual and group therapy
vocational assessment and linkage
independent living skills, recreational therapy
self help groups
peer support activities
nutritional counseling
linkage to community and rehabilitative services

In the community residence setting, staff and residents work together to establish and maintain an environment that fosters positive change. It is a place to set goals and practice behaviors which lead to successful and productive living. With an expected length of stay of six to nine months, residents have the opportunity to develop a disciplined life style, and ease the transition to independent living.

During treatment, staff members coordinate discharge planning to assist the residents in establishing an appropriate and safe living environment upon discharge.

ADDS operates two Community Residence programs:

Ivy House - a 17 bed facility for men
Casa Di Vita - an 18 bed facility for women

Each residential program is able to assist the residents in treatment issues that are gender specific.
