The Prairie Center facility which houses the adult Residential Services, and the Bureau of Prisons Program is located in a historical building in downtown Champaign, Illinois. Offering privacy and confidentiality through a rear entrance, this tudor-style facility provides a sense of community and support. Features of the facility, a renovated Elks Club, include first floor on-site food service, a living room with a fireplace, large group room spaces, exercise equipment, and on-site client laundry facilities. Medical staff is on-site 24 hours a day.

We accept many types of health insurance, Medicaid, self pay, and other third party payments. Funding for services from various state departments & federal and local grants also help to off-set costs for those who qualify. As a tax-exempt organization, the Prairie Center provides care to clients regardless of their ability to pay for that care or the source of payment. We also recognize that some clients may need help to pay their treatment bills.

My sister Mary was diagnosed with bipolar in her early 20s. She has been living independently and working for 40 years until recently. She has been hospitalized and currently not able to work and live independently. Do you have a temporary Residential facility available to her to help her make the transition from hospital back to her independent lifestyle ? Mary will be 64 this month and does not have Medicaid or Medicare. She has Bluecross blue shield ppo (through private pay not work). Sincerely Janet
